In American motorcycle history, there is the concept of the Big Three, the three most successful and largest motorcycle manufacturers in US history - Harley-Davidson, Indian and Excelsior-Henderson.

Harley-Davidson, Indian and Excelsior-Henderson fell victims of a general economic collapse - after October 29, 1929, sales fell tens and hundreds of times.
